Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Ms. Powers and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher! My biggest passion in life is teaching, I absolutely love guiding children to grow as learners and individuals.
I am originally from Syracuse, NY and just moved to Rochester, NY this summer after living in Cleveland, OH for a few years. While I was in Ohio, I received my Masters in Education and taught 2nd grade. When I am not teaching I love to spend time with my family and my dog Bailey. I love being outdoors whenever I can and I especially love going to the Adirondacks.
One of my biggest goals as a teacher is to make each child feel loved, safe, and confident to be themselves. I cannot wait to meet your children, we are going to have a great year together!
